Happy Thanksgiving Again :)

Happy Weekend After Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Here are a few pics of how we spent the holiday...

The cooking ladies....from left to right it's Trish, Bridget, Kortney and Cat. Mostly socializing, but Kortney's doing some cooking in there I'm sure :)

Here's my handsome husband and I. I did all my cooking the night before, so I just got to relax and hang out while everyone else slaved away in the hot kitchen.

Oh, and here's me enjoying a delicious drumstick. There was a little controversy surrounding the drumsticks. People thought no one should have a drumstick because there were only a limited number of them, so I decided I would have one, and share it with others. :) Needless to say, I think I only finished a few bites of it. There was a lot of food to go around.

Here's a photo of our 'spread'. I made candied yams for the first time, and I don't really like them at all so it was sort of a guessing game. I figured, when in doubt go big on the butter and sugar, so that's what I did. It ended up being a few yams baked in butter, sugar, and marshmallows. They were a hit though, everyone loved them....I think they were a little more of a dessert item though. I also made a Pumpkin Cheesecake. It is delicious. Mikey and I are still finishing it at home....I have to limit myself to a few bites a day. The cake itself weighed about 10 pounds, i can only imagine how many it would add to me.

And here's a photo of everyone enjoying the thanksgiving feast. This is from my seat at the end of the table....I think everyone enjoyed it. Afterwards we played games and just relaxed.... It was a fantastic Thanksgiving for 2006.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Mike and I take our little Griffin for a walk every morning around Liberty Park. Behind us in this photo is the pond that is full of ducks. We are hopeful every day that today is the day the ducks will fly south. Griffin loves the ducks, but in an attack sort of way. So every morning on our walk is a battle until after we are passed the pond, after that he is fantastic. :)

Ina had requested some photos of our neighborhood. This is right out front of our house, I was standing on the porch when I took the photo.

And this is just around the give you an idea of the neighborhood. All the houses are very old, early 1900's. Our friend, 2 houses down, has completely gutted the entire inside of her home and rebuilt it back up from the studs. Oh, how nice it would be to have updated electrical :) but we like our historic palace.

And, Mike recently had to part with his beloved Subaru WRX....and has moved 'up' to this beautiful 1991 honda accord. It runs, and it was cheap. Our new motto is, Sacrifice now for Benefits later....we're trying to remember it often.

And with the holidays coming up, we make sure we encorporate every celebration possible for this season.... So Happy Chanukkah and Merry Christmas. I haven't been able to decipher what the 'symbol' is for Kwanzaa, but when i do it will be added to the shelf :)

Happy thanksgiving everyone. We're heading up to Park City with some friends for Snowboarding and i'll post some pics tomorrow. enjoy.
